A long walk for a long relationship

Last Saturday, Royst and I decided to have a walk through the southern ridges. The initial start point of this walk is actually at West Coast. But after seeing that it is 9km, we decided not to walk this long distance, and start from Kent Ridge Park instead, skipping about half the distance (still have to walk 4.5km ok...).

While taking the bus to Kent Ridge Park

Kent ridge park is steep. I remembered having night cycle here in JC days. Was really thankful that this path is our downslope path instead of up slope. If not the legs will really be like jellies when I manage to cycle up.

We walked pass the Canopy Walk where there are lots of mosquito bites on Royston liao.

Poor Royston got bitten by mosquito until he needs to bandage his arms..

Next we walked into Hort Park, where the natural beauty lies. There are glasshouses and gardens. Leaving behind the high-rise buildings and industrial parks, we entered into a land of no-worries. The grass there are so nice and green.

Happened to walk pass this bird cage look alike thing in the Hork park. Stupid Royston thinks that i'm like some pet bird of his, asking me to go in and take some photos in it. Well, i think i also deserve some scolding...for taking happily in it..

We then continued on with the alexandra arch

...and reached the treetop walkTreetop walk is not like walking on a tree. It really high up like walking on a rope that is between two mountains. But thankfully, this is a bridge. Its really nice to look down from this tall height. For a moment, I can feel myself on top of the rest.

We then rest the place that i long wanted to go....!! henderson Waves....!!Its really a beautiful bridge. However, on this day that we went, there were many ntu and nus students having there orientation over there. So we didnt really stay long. (To be touched upon more in the next entry)

We walked pass Marang trial and up to Mount faber. I used to really hate mount faber because I was forced to cycle up this steep slope during ODAC. It's really tedious and at this very place that Royston and I rest, is the place where our ODAC teacher asked us to rest too and enjoy the sceneries. Piang. At that point of time i was thinking "enjoy what scenery!! Can we like faster cycle finish and go home sleep??" This time round, its another feeling. Feeling of calmness and of love, hoping that time could pause longer.

After mount faber, we headed towards vivo for dinner.

Life. Full of ups and downs. It's just a matter of how we look at it, face it and overcome it.
